Overview

In accordance with Article 24 of the Chemical Substances Control Act (Arrangement, Installation and Management Standards of Handling Facilities), a workplace that has installed a hazardous chemical handling facility must undergo an installation inspection by an inspection organization designated by the Ministry of Environment.

Unlike the previous Hazardous Substances Control Act, the installation inspection under the Chemical Substances Control Act consists of a preliminary written inspection and an on-site inspection.
