Chemical Substance Control Law

To prevent environmental pollution caused by chemical substances that may harm human health or interfere with the reproduction and growth of animals and plants.

Registration based on the manufacture and import of new chemicals of 1 ton or more
Low volume exemption for manufacture of less than 1 tone of new chemical substance
Exemptions due to manufacturing and importing of new chemicals (low concern polymer)
Manufacture, quantity of chemical substances of 10% or more in a single substance or mixture with an import quantity of 1 ton or more.

Industrial Safety and Hygiene Law

To prevent workers' accidents and to protect workers' safety and health.

Registration for the manufacture and import of new chemical substances over 100 kg
Exemption for low volume of new chemical substance that are less than 100kg
